Shipwrecked - the final

Tigers victory was deserved

Well done Tigers! What an episode!! I kind of guessed that the self-named hawks would all choose the same Island! I thought it was so funny when Joseph chose Sharks. I reckon he wanted to choose the Tigers to win but then everyone would know he was just doing it for the money as he had said he didn’t like it there.

The poor Sharks were 4 ahead and only needed 4 to win and I think they thought they were going to do it but 13 new arrivals meant it was anyone’s game.

I like the way the tribes were finding little things to try and persuade the new arrivals to pick their Islands, like Marvin playing up his romance with Sarah. We always used to say 'take one for the team' which basically means flirt and do what you have to do to win.

So when we finally got to the beach party it was: Sharks 13, Tigers 9 and both teams were really up for it, chanting and looking confident but that didn’t last long.

Out of the first 6 people only one chose sharks! I always said that most people who got rejected by a tribe would want to choose the other one and as I predicted, that Sharks turned away more so Tigers would win! 21-14 – quite convincing in the end.

The decision that must hurt the most is James -  an original Shark – choosing the Tigers!

The Sharks were so devastated and they took it really badly, it didn’t help the fact the tigers rubbed it in their faces! I know how they feel as I lost last year and it’s as if your world has ended as that’s all we knew for five months.

I can’t believe the Sharks were shouting they were robbed, that’s the bitterness coming out!

However clichéd it might be, Shipwrecked really does make you realise what you have and appreciate every thing in your life that you’ve taken for granted.

What a great series, even though there were no romances and not that much conflict I still enjoyed every episode and it always leaves me wanting more!

To sign off, let me say congratulations to the Tigers (the underdog always wins) and here’s to the next series!

It’s been fun,

Naomi xx
