Shaheen to sing for Jacko

Britain’s Got Talent star Shaheen Jafargholi is set to sing at Michael Jackson’s memorial today.

The 12-year-old, who wowed us with his rendition of Jacko’s Who’s Lovin You, has been invited by the Jackson family to perform at the Staples Center stadium to a worldwide audience of one billion.

He will join a host of stars from Mariah Carey to Usher as they pay their respects to the King Of Pop.

Shaheen said: ‘Michael was a huge inspiration to me. I’m nervous, but I’m honoured and privileged to have been invited to perform here.’

Shaheen, who made it to the finals of the show earlier this year, was invited by Michael’s family, who claim that the star was a huge fan of the Welsh schoolboy.

Mentor Simon Cowell said: ‘It’s an incredible honour for Shaheen. Michael was his idol. We’re so proud of him.’

And fellow judge Amanda Holden added: ‘Shaheen has a truly remarkable voice. I have no doubt Michael Jackson would have loved that he’s there.’
