The Doctor’s Christmas cracker

After the turkey, the Christmas pudding, the mince pies, the crackers, the booze and when granddad has fallen asleep in front of the Queen’s Speech, just make sure you are in front of the TV at 6pm on Christmas Day for the festive episode of Dr Who.
We’re lucky enough to have seen a preview of it and it’s a Christmas cracker. BBC producers swore us to secrecy over the details of the show – it’s called The Next Doctor – and we are going to keep the surprises intact.
But we can say that David Tennant teams up with another incarnation of himself in the shape of David Morrissey and the tale of Cybermen taking over Victorian England features many twists and turns – including a villainous turn by Dervla Kirwan who, whisper it, plays a prostitute bent on revenge.
It’s one of the treats of Christmas Day.
Don’t miss it - BBC1, Christmas Day, 6pm, and have a lovely Christmas, Revealers.
We’ll be back tomorrow with our final blog of the year.
