Girls v boys
The stars were out in force last night for the Music Industry Trust’s Award bash. The fantastic Take That took to the stage to belt out a series of hits, which sent the crowd wild, including some of their biggest fans – Girls Aloud.
The gorgeous girls danced and sang along to their impressive set at London’s Grosvenor House hotel, which included Patience and Rule The World. Kimberley told us: ‘I’m a massive fan of Take That. Back in the day I loved them! My sister is a really hardcore fan, she keeps saying “when can I meet them?!”
And the Girls, who were minus bandmate Nadine, certainly seemed to be having a great time at the event, which saw Universal boss Lucian Grainge honoured for his services to music. They even found time to tuck into a tasty dinner of tomato quiche and beef and mash. But the singers didn’t eat their puds!
Other stars included the lovely Sugababes who took to the stage for an impressive duet with Jamie Cullum, and Snow Patrol, who faced a bit of technical trouble when they opened the show and none of the amps worked!
The Chasing Cars band said: ‘We’re standing in for Duffy tonight. She’s given us her guitar and even offered us her clothes to wear, but we declined.’ Very wise, boys.
